**365 PROJECT COMPLETE**

well, lovely people. it has been a ride, to say the least. my 365 project is officially complete.
for the last couple of days, whenever i leave the house, my camera is still in my hand. it's become a permanent part of my person that when i leave the house without it, i'm missing an appendage.

looking through all the pictures, and wow! there are a lot of pictures. i can tell you a story behind each pic.
i'm really glad i did this project. looking back on it i see the happy times as well as the sad times.

i'mgoing to start another project the first of january. so stick around for that!
in the meantime, i think i'll do little mini projects. i doubt i'll post them on here. so until january 1, 2012...

au revoir!

365/365

my last picture for my 365 project.
i knew what i wanted for the last picture.
well...
i had an idea i guess i should say.

i knew it was gonna be of me.
but the execution of it wasn't what i had in mind.
but that's okay.
sometimes the best shots aren't always what you envisioned
to begin with.

so this is me saying to the 365 project:
"until next year..."

364/365

so i tagged along with bree on another one of her shoots.
we've shot this girl before but this time we had her equally gorgeous friend with us.

we did a few in aztec at the overpriced thrift shop i look around in.
bree is a genius!
i never thought of having a shoot there before!!
and they came out so good. =D

we went somewhere else to do they're ball gown dresses.
i was one-on-one with tawnie while bree shot her friend a ways from us.
i wasn't really going for heartbreak but more of a sadness type shot.
the wind got into her eyes and made them water
and i was like "USE IT!"

totally got more than i bargained for and i love it!

363/365

i was working on a blanket for my nephew's birthday
when kitty came along.

i dont know why he thinks that
everytime i'm working on a blanket,
whether it's a quilt or crochet,
that i'm making it for him.

he always comes over and plops himself on it.
then he wont move.

here he is on the 'toy story' blanket i was making.
sneaky, sneaky.
one minute he wasn't there,
and the next he was.

and see the look in his eye?
imagine having to put up with that from him and two dogs.

362/365

we were getting ready to head out to dinner when i took this pic.
he was standing outside looking at some deer that were crossing our property.
he just looked so handsome when i saw him
that i set my camera up on self timer and ran to meet him.

the only thing i hate about this pic is that my pants are baggy.
ugh.
they're not meant to be that way,
just so you know.

361/365

had a shoot with another friend from durango.
she was awesome and came out to aztec for it.

my original idea was to go downtown
and shoot there as well as two new places i had
scouted out in aztec.
but i got up the nerve to ask my neighbor if i could
use they're property for the shoot.

i'm so glad i did!
we never made it downtown since
we spent our entire time on my neighbors property.
we went around a couple of their old junker cars.

i got so many good shots,
it's ridiculous!
this is one of my favorite shoots in a long time.
it doesn't hurt that my model was beyond gorgeous.
i'd almost be jealous if she wasn't just as sweet!

360/365

i'm hoping that was the last snow of the year until winter. we got a light dusting in aztec. it lasted a few hours then all melted away. it snowed and rained all that day. i loved it especially since i didn't have school or homework and i had just gotten a new book and didn't have anywhere to go.

of course, with all the moisture came all the mud. oh well! take the bad with the good, i guess.

359/365

my lovely husband lazing around that afternoon. <3

358/365

so i had talked about having painted the laundry room and my dad's bathroom with the sample cans of paint from lowes in another post. here's a pic of the laundry room.

when i first started painting it this blue, i didn't really care for it. when it was just in one spot on one wall, it looked a little grey. like the kind of grey they use when they patch a wall up.

i almost stopped there but since i had the whole can i figured i may as well use it and that i could always cover it up. i'm so glad i kept painting because as all four walls were being painted, the color looked better and better.

and as a finishing touch, i got a new sign for the room.

357/365

i had a shoot with a good friend up in durango at a place i never shot at before. they turned out great!

i find that some people can do close up shots of they're faces like nobody's business while others just can't turn on the magic that close. i'm happy to say that roxy was one of those that her face was even more gorgeous up close than far away.

we were at her house while she was getting ready and i was pretty much makign myself at home. poking through stuff, demanding that she bring this or that for the pictures. "cuz i'm bossy" hahaha!

anyway, one of the things that caught my eye was this beautiful scarf that was given to her by her mother-in-law. picture came out gorgeous!

356/365

so our utility bills for the past couple of months have been pretty high. we couldnt figure out why. i decided to get to the bottom of it since i was feeling mighty guilty for just blaming it on my dad and leaving it like that.

turns out that the faucet outside the house is leaking really bad. we can't just replace the faucet because johnathan says he'll have to dig up the whole thing and whatnot.
he had to do that with one of the faucets outside when we first moved in because i drove over it. i was trying to avoid hitting his big dumb mutt and backed right over it. water went spewing everywhere and i had to call the city of aztec to turn the water off to our property.

turns out i have a cousin or something that works for city of aztec and she helped johnathan replace the faucet. even went so far as to help him get the parts he needed at a "family discount".

i dont know if she still works there or not but i'm not counting on it. i think that was just a fluke and we're pretty much on our own with this problem.

355/365

so i've figured out that i can paint all the small-ish rooms in the house
using only the sample cans of paint.
the quarts of paint cost over $20
and i probably wouldn't use the entire can anyway.

meanwhile, the sample cans of paint
cost a whole $3.

i'm a cheapo, i know!
but my laundry room and my dad's bathroom
have all gotten a fresh coat of paint
and it's looking gorgeous.
a definite improvement over the hideous wallpaper that was there before.

and fyi: behr paint from home depot does a fabulous job
of covering up wallpaper in only one coat.
but make sure you get the paint and primer in one.
we painted the wallpaper in our kitchen a few monthes ago
with valspar from lowes,
paint and primer in one
and it was horrible.
we had to use so many coats of paint and it's still not very good looking.

behr does a MUCH better job.
and yes, they were the exact same wallpaper in each room.

354/365

so, i remember (from my 365 pics from last year) when spring hit because the ants had come out.
well, this year i know spring is here because my tulips are peeking their heads out.

(and FYI: the ants are now out)

353/365

so!
after much debating about getting my navel pierced,
i went ahead and did it.

i dont know why i was stressing about whether or not to get it at all!
i love it!

when i went in, the piercer said i would only feel a pinch.
i honestly didn't even feel it.
he marked where he was gonna pierce it at,
then put a clamp on it and pierced it.

i can't believe that i waited so long to do it.
but, i fear it's opened up another venue of addiction: PIERCINGS.
i'm considering getting another set of ear piercings.

352/365

so this was the glass i got for johnathan
for valentine's day.

he loves the dang thing.
drinks out of it literally everyday!

he wants a coffee mug with john wayne on it
for his birthday.
guess i better start shopping around for that.

351/365

we took the new dog for his first walk.
 it started out nice.
it was kinda warm outside,
just a bit breezy.

we got halfway through the walk
then the winds picked up.
biting cold winds.

the dog did okay. he pulled a little at the leash at first
but learned from roxy soon enough
to just go with us.
the cars passing freaked him out a bit.
as well as the winds picking up.
by the time we got home, it was like a squal outside.
