yay, i love november for the one reason that johanthan grows out his beard. i dont know why he doesnt like growing it out. i think he looks soooo good when he does but he only does it in november for like two weeks. after thanksgiving he always shaves it off.

so i have two weeks to enjoy it. and enjoy it i shall.

so we're taking roxy with us for thanksgiving up to montana. we dont want to leave her with my dad since that didn't work out too well when we went to europe and left her with him. and we dont have the money to put her in a kennel for the few days we'll be gone.

she's so shaggy. i wanted to give her a haircut before we leave but johnathan said "no". he says he doesnt want her to get sick because it's gonna be cold up in montana. that i understand but he wont even let me trim around her face! poor roxy plays peek a boo when she looks at you. just a few more days doggy then you can have a hair cut.

the bad thing about living with two men is the smell. i guess it's double for me since i seem to have a sense of smell like a wolf hound. thank god for candles since air freshners give me a headache.

we went out to dinner with my dad at his favorite restuarant since we won't be with him on thanksgiving. hopefully, my little brother comes up here and spends some time with him.

didn't have much inspiration this day. i spent hours studying for an accounting exam. then i bombed it. i dont know why! i seriously studied every chapter that he said was going to be on the test but nothing on the test made sense to me!

now i have to wait through thanksgiving break before i get the test back and find out what i got on it. that's cruel.

i've already figured out what i'm choreographing for next semester's dance comotion. i know, i'm super early but i was really inspired the week before last and i've got it all figured out.

as a result, i stopped by kims imports in town to get some chinese flip fans. i thought i'd be cheaper to buy them and the material i need to make fan veils for the dance. oh how wrong i was. it is much much harder than the youtube videos make it out to be. i ended up just scratching it and going on ebay and buying a pair. i should have done that to begin with since they're really not all that expensive BUUUUT.... you know how it goes.

we took both the dog and cat to get their shots the other day. poor kitty. we got him in the car and he was running all over the place. johnathan told him to calm down, that we weren't gonna drop him off on the side of the road. kitty started panicking, i kid you not. he started howling and wouldnt calm down until after we got home. even then he was acting crazy. i thnk that might have been due to the shots he was given though. he was acting real weird.

roxy got a new tag for her collar though. :) i smudged out the rest of the phone number cuz i didnt wanna get random calls from random ppl who saw this pic on the internet.

it was like... eleven o'clock in the morning and the bushes on the east side of the house were still frozen. me doesn't like winter but there are some beautiful shots to be had if you can stand the cold.

it's been frosting up at night now. i wake up in the morning (feeling like p diddy... SORRY i cant seem to say that phrase anymore without at least secretly thinking that!) and the windshields are frosted over. theres a car up on the street that throws a blanket over their car at night. i'm guessing to stop it from frosting over...?

EEEEEK! snow already? wtf?

ugh. i dont want it to snow yet. i hate the cold. last year it didn't snow until like the second week of december. i remember because it was during tech rehearsals of the dance comotion show. i had to drive back at 11 o'clock at night with flurries everywhere. and it was colder than the dickens.

really, weather? must you bring snow already?

i knew what i wanted to go for when i took this pic and i'm really pleased with the results. wasn't exactly what i envisioned but sometimes that's okay and since i love this pic, i'm good.

sadly, the only place i can find the song is on youtube unless i actually buy the vampire diaries soundtrack which i probably won't do. anyway, the song is called "head over heels" and i guess it's a cover song. i listened to the original version... totally 80's. the digital daggers do an awesome awesome remake of the song. i'm digging it way more than the original.

so there was a comotion going on on campus tuesday. i guess there's this supposed church called the westburro baptist church that does all kinds of heinous things like protest at soldier's funerals with picket signs saying "god hates fags" and "a good soldier is a dead soldier".

!!!! right?! they're totally retarded and all kinds of other things i'm not even gonna get into.

aaaanyway, there was a film being showed on campus called "the anatomy of hate". not sure what it was really about but the supporters of that church had plans to picket on campus. the campus authorities found they couldn't legally do anything to stop the protestors. so they planned a peace rally to counteract the protest.

the peace rally started when i got outta class. i wouldnt have even gone to it except they started the rally in the parking lot where i was parked. i thought "nice photo op!" so i ran around in the cold and clicked pictures like crazy. this was my favorite one. i really love the 60's vibe i got from it.

so johnathan and i have been passing this sickness back and forth to eachother. we should probably stop kissing each other when we're sick.

it originally started about two and half weeks ago. i was feeling punky for about a day. almost didn't go to class either but i had stupid homework due in my accounting class or i wouldn't have even gone. by the next day i was feeling better. but like a day later johnathan got sick.

he was sick for a whole week. he did the whole fever thing as well. right when his sickness ended up, mine started. it hit me on friday. i wasn't feeling too good but still well enough to try to shake it off. saturday i had rehearsals in durango and it was an intense, brutal two hours. lots and lots of exertion. afterwards, my lungs felt heavy, almost as if i was drowning. i thought maybe it was from the workout i had gotten during my rehearsal but by the time i got home i knew it was sickness.

so i was laid out flat the rest of the day, as well as sunday and monday. the good thing though is that i got completely caught up on season 1 of vampire diaries. i've really gotten hooked this season but i'd missed out on the first. so, i rented the entire first season and enjoyed the drama.

it seems for the past two thursday nights, we've been getting chinese takeout. sooo good. getting me hungry as i type this at almost 1 am friday morning.

we've been getting takeout since i'm sooooo hooked on the vampire diaries. it only comes on once a week on thursday nights. it's my current obsession along with this song... click me to listen

roxy's my little crumb catcher in the kitchen. she loves when we cook, especially me because i always, always, end up dropping food on the floor. i think i had just got done throwing something together for dinner and sticking it in the oven.

at least this way we almost never have to sweep.

election day. okay, i'm ashamed to admit that i did not vote. i missed the deadline to register so i couldn't vote in this election.

we got a new govenor and a host of new people. the navajo nation also had their presidential elections. there was a woman running for president for the first time. johnathan said he was talking to some people who were saying that there were superstitions about having a woman for a leader. some nonsense about how "they say" that if a woman is leader of the navajos that she would bring the whirlwinds and tornadoes. and some are saying that tornado that touched down in flagstaff is proof that she shouldn't be running.

i think that's bullshit. i've never heard of it before. and why would "they" be saying that when our society is a matriarchal society? i think it's a bunch of chauvinistic men who are threatened by women in power that are spouting this bs.

anyway, the other guy, ben shelly, is now navajo nation president but it was really really close. the woman running, lynda lovejoy, was demanding a recount. our government is so filthy corrupt that i don't blame her! i mean, 77 out of 88 delegates are under investigation as i write for things like missappropriation of funds, fraud, embezzlement including ben shelly- the new president!!

ugh, suffice it to say i've become very very cynical about anything involving the navajo nation government.

johnathan's been working on his war bonnet for the last two months. he's sewn it together, and spend endless amounts of time beading it. i think it looks a little like a crown and i give him a hard time about wanting him to make me a crown, too.

but he finished it over the weekend and wanted me to take pictures of him. i couldn't believe it! i'm usually the one who has to get him to take pictures. he rarely, if ever, approaches me to take pictures of him. he even came to me all dressed up!
